Happiness is free
Listen here:
Watch here:
You stay up late, sobbing and sulking
trapped in the web of the internet
You feel left out ’cause your mates have made it
while you’re sitting there feeling depressed
As days go by, you find that your envy
is evolving into something else
You can’t explain but it’s eating you up
Feels like raving rage with a mixture
of hate and pain and fear and of failure
It’s so consuming– you want to tear up
If this you, good thing you’re listening ’cause
there’s something you should know
Life comes in many shades, scripts, and seasons
Time is of essence, please spend it wisely
Don’t spend it envying another person or season
You see, all tales will turn stale
as time fades, they will all be history
No need to replay their instastories
or compare them to how you live
‘Cause, It’s not a game, just know you’re not losing
So for your season learn to be grateful
‘Cause there’s a purpose for what you’ve been through
Everyman’s journey has a rough patch too
The scripts we live are made of chapters
New ones will come but won’t last forever
So live your life with utmost contentment
Knowing full well that happiness is free
Life comes in many shades, scripts, and seasons
Time is of essence, please spend it wisely
Don’t spend it envying another person or season
You see, all tales will turn stale
as time fades, they will all be history
No need to replay their instastories
or compare them to how you live
‘Cause, It’s not a game, just know you’re not losing
So for your season learn to be grateful
Cause there’s a purpose for what you’ve been through
Everyman’s journey has a rough patch too
The scripts we live are made of chapters
New ones will come but won’t last forever
So live your life with utmost contentment
Knowing full well that happiness is free

About ‘Happiness Is Free’
In a world where materialism is tied to happiness, it is important to remember that all that glitters isn’t gold. Happiness can be created by you for free. It is the ability to be content in whatever season one finds themselves in– and that, my friend, is gold!

These are very uplifting messages! Happiness is a choice and it is indeed free. No one can take it away from us! No need to envy others; enjoy your life instead!
Thank you for sharing this. It’s very nice lyrics, I like the song. We need more happiness out here, especially now more than ever. Keep it up, please 🙂
This was a lovely read, and you are right, it’s free, we have to make our own mind about it!
Any time I see or hear the word “happiness” I always remember the diary of Anne Frank who lived in an annex for a prolonged period during the war. She said “today I choose to be happy.” Happiness is indeed a choice
wow so true and super relevant to current times. Too many people seeing the negatives in their own experiences and lives. Happiness isn’t a destination it’s a choice.
the lyrics are great! I loved the idea so much! Happiness is indeed free.
I love the line about Life comes in many shades, scripts, and seasons this is so true and it repeats itself over and over again just in different forms.
Happy, contentment, grateful, these words hit me hard. There is always a purpose for everything, no matter how hard it is.
Such a beautiful wise message.
This … “The scripts we live are made of chapters
New ones will come but won’t last forever”
So true for good and bad times.

I always struggle with staying happy because I’m always comparing myself to others and this is a toxic behavior. Thanks for sharing such an uplifting message.
