Christianity and The Age of Deception

Christianity and The Age of Deception

Christianity and The Age of Deception.

It appears that the most lucrative business in the world today is the “Jesus Enterprise”. What this means is that someone can wake up one morning, go to Bible school, get stamped as a pastor, and found a denomination. Give that person a few months– gbam! Mega Church! Jets! Mansions! A flamboyant lifestyle.

These are con artists in disguise. They are wolves in sheep clothing. They pretend to be “men of God” but they are thieves– interested in nothing else other than their bellies. But can one completely blame them? I don’t think so.

You see, these people feast on the ignorance of the blind. No wonder the Bible says: “My people perish because of lack of knowledge.” Since the people have refused to receive knowledge, they are being misled by a group of greedy thieves. But more painful is the fact that when the evils of these so-called spiritual leaders are pointed out to the blind followers, they are the first to throw stones. Surely, they deserve what they are getting.

Christianity today, has become a joke– a strange faith from what it was intended to be. The height of idolatry is quite alarming and so is the glaring witchcraft. We are at an age where man is being honored above God– where the messenger has become superior to the master.

It is an age where gifts of the Holy Spirit are now received by means of cash; an age where the concept of love has been twisted and abused. No wonder Gandhi had a problem with the Christians but not with Christ. And just like him, there are many people who admire Christ but not the Christians.

What we see as Christianity today is actually a cult. One full of activities but no power, full of crusades but no miracles (even if there are, they are mostly staged), one full of sermons but no genuine repentance. How sad!

This is the power of manipulation at work. It has even gotten to a stage where people are afraid of the so-called messengers even more than God himself. All one needs to say is, “the Lord said…” and the people will fall down in awe like zombies without verifying if that message is really of God.

But how will they know? How can the test which spirit is at work when they barely have time to study the Bible themselves? Instead, they surround themselves with books written by their so-called fathers and grandfathers in the lord and accept whatever is being told them without question.

I was told of a particular denomination where all the pastors are given a target (the amount of money) to remit from their branches to the headquarters on a regular basis. If they do not get the specified amount at the said time, many of them collect loans to add to what they have in order to meet up. To know that all the money goes to one person! Apparently, Christianity has become a family business!

There is so much emphasis on tithes and firstfruits than there is on the actual gospel of Christ. Imagine what these thieves call firstfruits– all of one’s salary every January! Meanwhile, according to the Bible in Deuteronomy 14:22-29, the tithe was purely food not money, was to be eaten by the tither and family every year. The second type of tithes was to be given at the end of every three years so that the Levites., widows, foreigners, fatherless e.t.c may have food to eat.

Can you see how these agents of Satan have twisted the scripture to suit their greed? As a matter of fact, what is being practiced as tithing today has no basis in the scripture. To get comprehensive knowledge of what the Bible truly says about tithing, get a copy of the pdf file below by simply clicking on the download button.

As regards firstfruit, the new testament clearly refers to people as firstfruits. For example, Christ was regarded as the firstfruits to be raised from the dead see 1 Corinthians 15:20. It was the same way, the early believers were called firstfruits see 2 Thessalonians 2:13, James 1:18. The term here had absolutely nothing to do with giving.

It’s so painful to see how a small group of people have been able to scam mankind. Can you imagine how many people have been defrauded over the years by this false doctrine? Do you know that even after this fraudulent act of collecting these firstfruits (which by the way is only received in cash), the people are asked to fast for 40-100 days as the case maybe? Not only do they take all they have in that month but they also starve them in the name of fast! Shouldn’t fasting be done when one is led to and not merely because one is told to?

And when these same givers go to the so-called leaders for help, they are being turned down and asked to pray and fast. Was this the example Christ showed? Where is love and compassion? They have turned God into a corrupt being that only performs wonders when he is offered money since according to them one can only be blessed when one gives! This is the height of fraud!

Let’s not forget about the false visions, staged miracles and witchcraft done in the name of Christ. Many people have been alienated from families and friends because of false visions. Imagine being told that a relative is the cause of your problems, that someone somewhere is playing with your destiny. Please, where did Jesus, in all the numerous miracles he performed, ever accuse someone else of the calamities that befell whoever met with him?

Instead, he dealt with the main enemy because he understood that if at all a man was behind it, he or she was just an instrument. But see the so-called leaders of today, catching, blaming and accusing people. In several cases, the people they blame are even innocent. They sow the seed of discord, hatred, and bitterness in the heart of many and with manipulation, they get away with it.

If we really want to be truthful, we know that almost all the miracles these so called people perform are fake– staged and so are several testimonies just to draw people into their den. Look, everything you see is not what it seems. People are living in fear and bondage simply because they do not know the word of God. This should not be you.

A few days ago, I stumbled on a video on YouTube of an ex-worker of a denomination exposing how they had deceived people into believing they had problems in order to extort them and project themselves as men of God.

According to the man, they would rub potassium permanganate on peoples’ feet like they were praying for them and then wash their feet with water. Because of the chemical, the water will turn red and they’d tell the people that blood was coming out of their feet in a bid to convince them that deliverance was taking place. You can watch the video for yourself here.

Another terrifying thing is the way people are being thoroughly ridiculed and told to do unimaginable things. Such as eating live snakes, grass, ants, clothes and so on as a criteria for deliverance. They are being pushed, slapped, kicked and marched on literally in the name of liberation from the power of darkness.

Not only that, they give pictures, oil, water, aprons, handkerchief, perfumes as instruments for warding off evil. How is this liberation? Doesn’t it look and sound like initiation? The same people who give these items rely on heavily armed security guards for their protection. And it’s like somehow the followers just lose their sense of reasoning– they don’t question! Either they are being hypnotized or they are daft!

Even when some of them are bold enough to ask questions, they are being shut down with judgement from above. All these so that they will not be confronted. They tell people to report them to God instead which is why you often hear people say they leave them to God.

Did we see any of such in the Bible? Did Jesus, the disciples or any of the early believers practise or teach such? As a matter of fact, the early believers rebuked on another. No one lorded authority over another and that was why Paul could openly rebuke Peter when he was being hypocritical. See Galatians 2:11-14.

But these ones who are nothing compared to the apostles of old, who haven’t correctly walked with God, somehow manage to be above all and above God. How did we get here?

However, it shouldn’t come as a surprise since the Bible already told us what to expect in the following scriptures:

Matthew 7:15-20

15Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit, you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit, you will recognize them.

Matthew 24:24

24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

2 Timothy 4:3-4

3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

Acts 20:28-30

28Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood. 29 I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. 30 Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them.

From the above scriptures, you can see that believers were warned beforehand. Witchcraft is what is being practised as Christianity today.

You see, many people have found themselves in the position they are in because of desperation and impatience to study the Bible. To know that the solution to their problems is there in their midst. Christianity is very simple. You can talk to God yourself– you don’t need an intermediary. All you need to do is be sincere in your heart as you speak to God. It’s that simple! All the drama, shouts and abracadabra are not applicable to Christianity.

Jesus had this to say in the book of Matthew 11:28-30

2“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

This is the truth. Christ came to save. He was full of compassion and love. He spoke against the Pharisees and that’s why they killed him. These so-called spiritual leaders are like the Pharisees. They are a brood of vipers, sons of the devil, whitewashed walls and their condemnation is well deserved! These aren’t my words, that’s what the Bible says of them. See Mat 23:27-33, John 8:43-44, 2Peter 2:1-3

I appeal to you, stop running up and down search of miracles. God is not restricted to places– he can hear you where you are. Study your Bible by yourself– you and your family. Stop waiting on someone to tell you what God is saying– hear him yourself. Get rid of the properties of the enemy in your possession. Stop idolizing man. Speak sincerely to God and he will deliver and save you.

We are indeed in the age of deception. It is only when you know the Scriptures that you will be able to test every spirit. It is only then that you will not fall a victim to these rogues because you will be able to tell who they are by their fruits. This is the only way you can truly be set free– by knowing the truth.

Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

Okay, here goes,

Dawny sweetie, I feel your pain and I feel your anger. Are there false prophets, are there anti-Christs even in the church? Surely, Jesus and so many prophets in the Bible spoke about these days, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise.

Now, I don’t believe that many of these pastors set out to deceive. Many are deceived themselves by the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. Many are called, few are chosen when they yield to the call, and even fewer remain faithful till the end (Revelations 17:14)

So do we call them names, do we insult and damn them? No we don’t. The Bible says “touch not my anointed and do my Prophet no harm”. King Saul was anointed, was he faithful? No he wasn’t, but David knew not to kill him despite the many chances he had. Some of our pastors of these days were called, chosen and anointed but somewhere along the line–got it wrong. Why? Because well! We’re human. Our focus should only be on Jesus (He’s the only perfect human that ever lived). For men of God who have turned from the faith, we are to love them and pray for them. The call to love is not an easy one but Jesus mandated it. Jesus is the only one who could judge because He was perfect.

What am I trying to say ?

Let’s pray for the church of Christ. It is non-denominational. The true bride of Jesus is: those who have been called, chosen and stay faithful through the help of the HOLY Spirit (always humbling ourselves before God in repentance because no one is perfect or blameless).

Let’s pray for the church and lead in love. Let’s be wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove. Let’s seek the face of God through our personal study of the scripture, Let’s surrender our will and our ways to God. When we hear the silent call of God in our hearts, the yearning for God in the midst of the meaningless days, let’s obey and surrender (we’re nothing of our own selves anyway, our plans and desires never work out as we want them to anyway, we have no control anyway, so why struggle?), then He chooses us (here we find meaning and beauty in this life), but it’s not over, let’s pray for the grace to remain faithful till our saviour comes.

The grace of God be with us all.

Shalom. 🙏🏾

Thank you Mirabellah for your contribution. You have spoken well. However, in Christ, we are all the anointed of God, we are all priests (1 Peter 2:9) therefore priesthood is not meant for the “clergy” as it was in the old testament.

Secondly, the terms brood of vipers, whitewashed walls and all that aren’t my words but the scripture. See the bible verses attached.

Finally, we owe it to speak against evil and stand for the truth. To ignore evil is to silently partake of it. Agreed, we may die in the process but the truth will be heard.

Reply to  Viano Dee

Of course, we are royal priesthoods…

To ignore evil is to silently partake in it, that’s true. While I’m not defending any pastor or anybody, what I’m saying is we are to admonish, to correct in love. The truth cannot stay hidden forever, God is already fishing those false prophets out.

But there are true men of God as well. We can’t just assume that because a pastor has a large church and has a jet means he’s a false prophet. Many of them that go on ministry work have large churches but are traveling almost 24/7 everyday to preach the gospel. You don’t expect them to stand at an airport on a queue. God is raising for Himself an end time army.

Let’s propagate the gospel in Godly fear and holiness and warn people to WATCH AND PRAY, FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND.

Reply to  Mirabellalah

There’s no justification for owing a jet as a “minister of God”. Do you know how much it is to purchase one not to talk of maintaining it? God does not waste resources. We didn’t see Jesus nor the apostles show that example. Jesus should have owned a chariot. Paul should have owned a ship since he travelled the most. If God is sending one, as long as you obey, time is in his hands– you can never be late.

So let’s test every spirit with the scriptures to know who is of God. By their fruits we shall know them.

I have seen a few of these “organizations” who deceive others, disguising themselves as preaching the Word of God, but they have other motives like asking for “donations” and the like. I am a Catholic and we have been taught to be wary of these false prophets. I will never cease to pray for guidance and enlightenment.

That’s the most important thing– never cease to pray for guidance and enlightenment.

Susu Yati

Well said we have to be wary indeed

Reply to  Susu Yati

We really need it, Susu.

True. These are all said in the bible and more and more people are refusing. Indeed the end times are coming. All we have to do is try and do our part.

Reply to  Michael

Quite true.

That’s a very sensitive post. I understand how it might be feeling.

We do live in a sad world at times.  Unfortunately, you will get groups who are not who they say they are and perhaps are trying to receive money x

That’s very true.

I normally don’t discuss religion. However, I can see what you mean & feel from your blog post

Jade Braham

It is true that we live in a world were deception is on the rise and I can feel from your post how this affects you and others. It is a shame and it distorts the true meaning and practice of Christianity. It was eye-opening to read your article, thank you for sharing!

Thanks so much, Jade.

Such an interesting read, I truly enjoyed studying World Religion in college and it touched on several of these very concepts. Sometimes it is easier to stay in a comfort zone than it is to expand ones though processes, which is true for any topic.

Peter David

Awesome article here! But only those who have woken up from the deep slumber of religion would appreciate and treasure this “pearl of great price”. Thanks for standing up for truth
